My Life’s Prayer
I place my trust in you,
You will guide me everywhere.
Take me in unimaginable directions
Open opportunities not yet dreamed of.
My life is an open book before you.
Nothing is hidden from your eyes.
The world may not see it but you do,
Keep my life clean in your presence.
Open your word to my mind,
Let me see your truth in all.
Turn me to your righteousness,
Keep me from the evil one.
Bring revival to my soul,
Stoke the fire of my first love.
Move me to serve you more,
Draw my heart to yours.
Take my will into yours,
Quenching my desire for more of you.
Serving you is enough satisfaction,
That is my life reward.
Everything else will be destroyed,
Your love for me will not.
Satisfy my every longing,
Keep me in the cleft of the rock.
Protect me in all I do,
Place your arms of strength around me.
Let your will become my desire,
Seeking to make it my will.
I am yours, Lord
You have called me long ago.
Yes, even before I was born,
You designed a plan for me.
It is for your purpose
That all things happen on earth,
In order to bring you glory
And honour, and the praises of man.
My life is yours,
I cannot take it for myself.
It must be submitted to you,
Seeking your desire and plan.
What would I be without you?
A poor, wretched man with no hope,
But you have given me hope
To face another day.
To take another step,
To step into the water.
Your will has become mine.
Only help me to fulfill it.
Give me the direction I need,
Open my eyes to see the right steps.
Reveal your love to me,
Burn it on my soul with an unquenchable fire.
